Assistant Accountant

$35 - $40 Per Hour

Aequalis Consulting is partnering with a family-run business to find a driven Assistant Accountant. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their accounting career in a supportive and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, month-end close, and reporting.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.

• Fortnightly Payroll

• Reconcile bank accounts and maintain the general ledger.

• Provide support with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• Assist with the preparation of BAS statements and other compliance reporting.

About You:

• 5+ years of experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to grow in your career.
