Aequalis Consulting is partnering with a family-run business to find a driven Assistant Accountant. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their accounting career in a supportive and collaborative environment. If you’re passionate about accounting and want to make a real difference in a close-knit team, this is the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of financial statements, month-end close, and reporting.
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
Fortnightly Payroll
Reconcile bank accounts and maintain the general ledger.
Provide support with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Assist with the preparation of BAS statements and other compliance reporting.
About You:
5+ years of experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to grow in your career.
