A top-tier global infrastructure services provider is looking for a Commercial Analyst to enhance their pre-contracts team. This critical role involves analytical rigor and strategic acumen in supporting the development and submission of tenders across various sectors, including utilities and defence.


Role Overview: As a Commercial Analyst, you will be instrumental in analysing and preparing financial models and bid proposals, ensuring that all submissions are competitive and align with company strategies and client requirements. This position requires a proactive individual who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage complex financial data to support decision-making processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse project specifications and requirements to develop detailed financial and bid estimates.

  • Collaborate with operational and finance teams to construct robust cost models and pricing strategies.

  • Manage the preparation of bid documentation, ensuring all financial information is accurate and comprehensively reflects the project scope.

  • Engage with various stakeholders, including subcontractors and suppliers, to negotiate terms and gather pricing information.

  • Conduct risk assessments and financial analysis to identify potential impacts on project viability and profitability.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the bid process to ensure compliance with internal and external audit standards.


Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, complemented by relevant professional certifications.

  • Has extensive experience in financial modelling and analysis, ideally within the infrastructure, utilities, or defence sectors.

  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Is proficient in advanced Excel and familiar with other financial software tools.

  • Exhibits strong organizational skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
