Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for an opportunity to lead the payroll function in a dynamic and impactful organisation? We’re seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee and optimise payroll services for a national workforce.


About the Role:


You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll processes, including employee lifecycle transactions, ensuring full compliance with legislative requirements, tax rules, and company policies. This is an opportunity to drive operational improvements, manage system migrations, and deliver top-tier payroll services to a diverse team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage fortnightly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll legislation.

  • Oversee employee benefits administration, including leave purchases, novated leases, and referral fees.

  • Ensure timely and compliant management of superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG, and workers’ compensation.

  • Support HR and Finance teams with reporting, reconciliations, and audits.

  • Lead the payroll system migration from Aurion to ELMO, including development of guides, testing, and process mapping.

  • Stay informed on legislative changes and implement necessary adjustments to payroll systems and policies.

  • Champion continuous improvement within payroll operations, seeking opportunities to streamline processes.


About You:

  • 5+ years of payroll management experience in a corporate environment.

  • Strong technical proficiency in payroll systems and legislative compliance.

  • Experience in payroll system migrations (Aurion and ELMO highly desirable).

  • Excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • A proactive, collaborative work style with high attention to detail.
