A fantastic opportunity has emerged for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join a leading organization in Sydney. This role is pivotal in maintaining and optimizing payroll processes while providing comprehensive support to ensure all tasks are carried out with accuracy, timeliness, and integrity. Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Payroll Management: Ensure payroll processing meets all legal and contractual obligations, providing accurate and timely payroll services.

  • Data Management and Reporting: Develop HRIS statistical data and meaningful reports to support the business, including designing custom reports for ad hoc requests.

  • Compliance and Legislation: Stay ahead of payroll legislation and awards, ensuring all payroll activities adhere to regulatory requirements.

  • System Enhancements and Support: Assist in system upgrades, conduct system audits, and identify opportunities for HRIS improvements.

  • Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Work closely with the National Payroll Manager to streamline payroll processes, resolve employee queries, and maintain the accuracy of payroll data.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, actuarial studies, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of full-function payroll experience, ideally with CHRIS system knowledge.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to educate users on systems and processes.

  • Experience in interpreting enterprise agreements (EA) and awards.
